Career Profile

Joined Odisha Administrative Service in 1988. Having been selected for Central Services through Civil Services Examination, joined Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS), Ministry of Defence in May 1989. Served various Ordnance Factories across the country and in Corporate Headquarters. Served as Director Vigilance and CVO of EPFO (Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India), OSD to Minister of State, Labour and Employment, GoI, OSD to Minister of State, Rural Development, GoI and Director Social Justice and Empowerment. After rendering service for more than 33 years, superannuated from the post of General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Dum Dum, Kolkata on 30th November 2022. Post retirement, associated with several institutes as Advisor or Resource Person.

Key areas of experience

Having extensive experience in the areas of Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Policy Formulation, Vigilance administration, Industrial Relations and functioning of industries. Closely associated with the formulation of the present RPWD Act. As General Manager of Ordnance Factory Dum Dum, effectively led the transition from a Govt. establishment to a corporate entity; largely contributed to the long-term sustainability of the unit by embarking upon massive diversification of products and establishment of new products through R&D.
